Assistance with any feeding tools or devices:

Infant oral exam:
Assessment of oral structure and function, including possible tethered tissues (tongue, cheek or lip ties).

Breast/Chest exam:
In cases of breast/lactating chest health concerns or to evaluate distribution of glandular tissue.

Adjustment to latch and positioning as needed

Observation of feeding:
In-person visits include a before and after weight to assess milk transfer.

Listening to your feeding experience:
Review of your current situation and concerns and  feeding goals.

TOTs can negatively affect feeding, swallowing, sleep, breathing, and body movement or posture. I will assess your baby’s oral function, show you exercises specific to your baby’s needs, encourage bodywork prior to a release, if deemed necessary, and support aftercare. 

Tethered Oral Tissues

Whether you prefer a gradual approach or need to wean quickly, we will discuss recommended methods. Topics include helping you manage engorgement, milk supply changes, and other concerns that may arise. Navigate weaning safely and comfortably.

Weaning
